    I am a Career Counselor at North Pole High School, home of the Patriots!
    I love working there, and in order to reach more students, I want to learn and integrate technology into my daily work.
    Favorite Web 2.0 Tools
    In November 2007, with help from the rest of the counseling department at NPHS, I developed the NPHS Counseling wikispace. By virtue of "wikiness", the webpage is dynamic and always being updated with current information.
    In Alaska is a personal blog about my experiences while living in North Pole.
    On Workforce Alaska, I want to discuss economic trends and educational opportunities that influence the development of Alaska's workforce.
    After learning about Voice Thread, I started my own thread about my great aunts and uncles in Georgia called Francis and Preston. I hope to get other family members involved so they can contribute their stories.
    Web 2.0 Integration Project
    I am a career counselor at NPHS, and I am also an English teacher. An objective in both jobs is to teach proper resume writing. As well, resumes are changing in order to keep up with the web 2.0 world. I found an excellent example of an online wiki resume and plan to use it as a template by which I will create a "North Pole Resume Wikispace."
    Purpose
    TO allow students to practice resume writing while learning how to create their own resume wikipage.
    Audience
    11th grade English classes, with ongoing follow-up their senior year.
    Essential Questions
    How has the resume landscape changed with the creation of the internet and web 2.0 tools? What are the benefits and drawbacks to online resume writing?
    Standards
    Alaska State Standards for Technology and National Educational Technology Standards addressed by this project:
    Technology Standards:

    Students will improve their language AND computer skills.
    Students will create a portfolio of school and work experience to be used for future career goals.
    Activities
    Initial workshop for discussing wikispace publishing, appropriate and inappropriate posting, permission to publish forms. Resume writing powerpoint.
    Resume writing workshop.
    Posting resumes on the wikispace workshop.
